Popular songwriter, singer and entertainer Inetimi Odon, known as “Timaya” in the entertainment industry, officially launched new music video ‘Woyo’.
According to NAN, the dance hall music written and performed by Timaya, was produced by Orbeat and directed by Unlimited LA.
The video of two minutes and 50 seconds duration, showcased the multi-talented artiste dancing with a walking stick, in the company of beautiful ladies.
NAN adds that the August 15, 1980 born artiste, is the founder of the defunct South-South hip hop group “Dem Mama Soldiers”
Timaya Began His Solo Career In 2005
In 2005, he began his solo career with the release of ‘Dem Mama’ singles, which also featured in his 2006 debut album, ‘True Story’.
Two years later, he produced his second album “Gift and Grace” which earned him two awards in 2008, first at the Nigeria Music Awards under the “Album of the Year” category and second awards was “Best Reggae/Dancehall album” category at the Headies.
In 2009, Egberipapa1 of Bayelsa bagged two awards at the Headies for “Best Reggae/Dancehall album’’ for Gift and Grace and “Best Collaboration’’ for his feature on J Martins’ “Good or Bad (O Wey)’’
He further stretched his antecedence with a visibility and international prominence, through his third studio album De Rebirth, in conjunction with Black Body Entertainment. The album was commercially successful with his hit single “Plantain Boy” or “Plantain seller”.
In 2011, he was appointed `Peace Ambassador’ by the Inter-religious and International Federation for World Peace.
In 2012, he released a 14-track album `Upgrade’ which produced hits “Bum Bum’’, “Sexy Ladies’’, and “Malonogede.”
He recently signed in as an ambassador with Hennessey.
