The increase in ownership of private jets in Nigeria can make one wonder if the recession experts claim we are in is a reality or sheer imagination.
The growing rate of some Nigerians acquiring private jets has placed the country as one of the fastest growing places for the thriving private jet market in the world. This is evident in the present number of jets owned by Nigerians.
In recent times, it has been argued that over 70 private jets are parked in Nigeria airports. The jets are rumored to be owned by very rich business moguls, oil magnates, politicians and top clergy men in Nigeria. Some even own more than one.
SaharaReporters had a sneak peek at the parking lot of expensive private jets in Lagos and had this video recorded:
70 Private Jets For 180 Million People
Some Nigerians, however, lashed out at those talking down on private jet owners. They term them as suffering from poverty mentality.
They are of the view that having 70 private jets is not good enough for a country with over 180 million population, even though over 80% of the populace live in poverty.
