He was later released by the operatives around 10pm.

Suleman was said to have arrived at the headquarters of the secret service at Asokoro, with some of his followers around 8pm.

It was gathered that a former governor allegedly brought Suleman to the DSS for questioning.

It was further gathered that a few of the clergyman’s followers and members of his church, who earlier converged on the headquarters of the DSS, were around the premises when Suleman visited at night.

The few members were said to have been seen at Aso Drive in four cars.

It was learned that in the morning, when Suleman was expected at the DSS, several security operatives were alerted to allegedly curtail the excesses of the church members.

According to the Punch, apart from the gun-carrying DSS operatives, policemen drawn from the Anti-Terrorism Squad, riot and regular policemen, both in uniform and plain clothes were also seen around the premises of the DSS headquarters.

It was also learned that regular soldiers, drawn from the Guard Brigade, were there to maintain order.
