The Lagos-based side are fourth in the standings with six points from three games, while their south-west rivals are 12th with a win and two losses.

The Oluyole Warriors will hope to stretch their winning run over their south-west rivals with another win, after defeating them twice last season.

But both MFM players, who have scored a goal each and created three assists, believe they have what it takes to get their pound of flesh at the Lekan Salami stadium.

Sikiru said: “We didn’t have it good last season against Shooting but this term we want to prove to people that we can beat 3SC,” the skillful left-winger added.

On his part, Adekunle said: “Our eyes are set on the three points. Shooting Stars have been having the edge over us in the NPFL.

”We understand the fact that it’s a derby game and they will want to make some statements in front of their home fans but we are not perturbed.

“An outright victory is all we are gunning for. We have a squad capable of inflicting defeat on any team in the league and 3SC are not exempted.

“The fact that they lost their two consecutive away games will put them under pressure. All we need to do is to contain them and take our chances,” he told
