Rangers head coach Imama Amapakabo believes his side have finally found their rhythm, after an opening-day defeat to Abia Warriors in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The Flying Antelopes picked a point at Nasarawa United and recorded their first win of the season on Sunday when they pipped El-Kanemi Warriors 1-0.
“As we have found our winning rhythm, by the grace of God and the support of our fans, it will be a long winning streak for the team all the way,’’ Amapakabo said.
The Rangers gaffer then assured supporters of the team that the champions are headed for Uyo to beat Akwa United in Wednesday’s Match Day 4 showdown.
The Enugu-based side defeated the Promise Keepers 3-2 at the Next of Champions last season, and Amapakabo is confident his charges can reenact the feat.
“We are going to Uyo to pick the three maximum points and this will see us close to the top of the league table, which is where we should be at the moment,’’ he said.
Rangers retained 24 of their old players and acquired 11 new players for the 2016/2017 NPFL and Federation Cup competitions.
