Remo emerged winners of the encounter after scoring a late penalty which resulted in wild protests from the Warriors.

Immediately the referee, Dankano Abdullahi, made the call, players of the Umuahia-based side huddled him in protest, an act the LMC says is a violation of the rules of the game.

Abia Warriors have, meanwhile, been given  48 hours within which they can appeal the verdict.

The league body has also requested the Nigeria Football Federation’s referees committee to withdraw Abdullahi from future NPFL game, pending full investigation into his performance in the game.
