Three unknown men, suspected to be cultist kidnapped, drugged and gang-raped a 15-year-old student of Demonstration Secondary School, along Ter Katsina-Ala street, a stone throw away from her house, in Katsina-Ala, Benue State on Thursday.
The alleged gang led by a suspected notorious cultist called Torkula told the victim that she was made to go through the dreaded act because she was a snub.
Victim Went Into Coma After Rape
Meanwhile, reports gathered, confirms that the victim who went into coma after the rape incident is being treated at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.
Mr. Terlanga Ugba who happens the father of the victim, told newsmen at the hospital in Makurdi on Monday, that his daughter left home before midday on the day of her abduction, to buy some sewing materials for her tailoring trade but never returned.
Mr Ugba added that they rampaged some hospitals, churches and friends’ houses searching for her but they couldn’t find her, then the next day, he went to the Katsina-Ala Police Station where he lodged a complaint.
He further said that, some church members later informed him that they saw his daughter in the company of suspected notorious cultist, then he immediately organised another search party, who eventually found the girl being dragged out by the suspects from one of the hideouts close to the river bank to cover their tracks.
Mr Ugba also said that the search party with the help of some Okada riders arrested the suspect, they then took both the suspects and the victim to the police station where he was later asked to take his daughter to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
When the victim regained consciousness, she narrated to her father, that she was blindfolded and taken to an unknown place where the suspects injected her with four injections.
Cultist Raped Victim Rapped For Being A Snub
She also said that she was not given food or water for the two days she was held hostage and was forced to smoke weed, while they took turns to rape her.
She added that the suspects told her that she was being taught a lesson for being a snub.
The incident has been confirmed by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Bashir Makama who has ordered the DPO in Katsina-Ala to tranfer the case to the state CID for further findings.
