President Muhammadu Buhari will be in Ghana as the West African country swears in Nana Akufo-Addo as President on Saturday.
Akufo-Addo takes over from President John Dramani Mahama whom he defeated in December’s presidential election.
President Buhari will leave Abuja for Accra on Saturday morning.
He will join other Heads of State and Government to witness the swearing-in of Akufo-Addo and his Vice President–elect, Mahamudu Bawumia.
The Nigerian leader had congratulated Ghanaians on the peaceful elections and orderly transfer of power from an incumbent to an opposition candidate.
He also commended out-going President John Dramani Mahama for his maturity and statesmanship.
