Alleged terrorist Adebayo Shaib 36 and Olaifa Oluwasanmi 30, were arraigned on the 5th of January 2017, in an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court on charges bordering on terrorism.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Bankole Olasunkanmi, told the court that the accused committed the offence which contravened Section 3 (a) and (b) of Ekiti State Kidnap and Terrorism (Prohibition) Law, 2015, on Dec. 24, 2016 in Ado-Ekiti.
Terrorism Threats From The Defendants
He then accused the defendants of sending a message to bomb the Divisional Police Headquaters Iworoko, Ekiti.
“They were tracked through the message they sent to the station,’’ he said.
Mr Olasunkanmi sought for an adjournment to enable him get legal advice after sending the file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Counsel to the accused persons, Mr Olabode Agbaje also urged the court to adjourn the case for an advice from the DPP.
Meanwhile, the Chief Magistrate Idowu Ayenimo remanded accused in prison till adjourned date which he fixed on Jan.25.
