Cameroon and Schalke 04 striker, Eric Maxime Choupo-Moting, has ruled himself out from the upcoming African Nations Cup finals in order to stay with his German club Schalke 04, the Bundesliga team said on Tuesday.
This move brings to seven the number of Cameroonian players who have opted out of the tournament and elected to stay with their clubsides.
“Choupo-Moting will be part of the Schalke squad that will travel to Benidorm for a winter training camp on Wednesday,” the German club said.
