Premier League leaders Chelsea fought hard to subdue valiant Stoke City 4-2 at Stamford Bridge, equalling the top flight record of 13 wins on the trot.
It was a thriller, an exceptionally entertaining second half that witnessed five goals as Antonio Conte’s charges were made to take the lead twice by a determined Stoke who gave everything against them.
Gary Cahill was the man who put Chelsea ahead when his header had everything to do with the Potters’ net. And that goal came not far from the end of the half.

But on resumption of play, Bruno Martins poked in from close range to draw Stock level, just a minute into it.
However, Willian returned the Blues to the driving seat, only for Peter Crouch to level matters for the Potters few minutes later.
But that leveller did not last beyond a minuet as Chelsea drove towards goal with Willian firing an angled finish.
Thereafter, it was all Chelsea. And with five minutes left, Diego Costa sealed victory for the West Londoners.
