Jamie Vardy will miss Leicester’s next three matches. This is after his appeal against his red card in Saturday’s draw with Stoke City was rejected by the FA.
The striker was handed his marching orders by referee Craig Pawson in the 28th minute for a tackle on Stoke’s Mame Diouf.
He lunged in, won the ball, but clipped Diouf’s shins.
Effect of FA Decision
The 29-year-old’s wrongful dismissal claim was rejected by the FA. He, therefore, will miss the games against Everton, West Ham and Middlesbrough.
His next game, barring injuries, would be against Everton in the FA Cup third round tie on 7 January.
