Rangers manager Imama Amapakabo is unsatisfied with his team’s performance despite their 2-0 victory over Rivers United in the ongoing NPFL Super4 tournament.

Chisom Egbuchulam’s delicious goals in the second half  ensured the Flying Antelopes began the mini tournament on a winning note on Wednesday.

And the victory puts the NPFL champions on top of the lot with better goal difference than Wikki Tourists, who came from a goal down to beat FC Ifeanyiubah 2-1 in the day’s first game.

But Amapakabo is not satisfied. He believes there is room for improvement both technically and tactically in subsequent games.

“I am working towards a standard. Today’s [Wednesday] match might be good from the general look.

“But, I am not satisfied. I know we can do better, I know we still have lots of corrections to make.

“Technically and tactically, I am not satisfied yet,’’ he said.

On the other hand, Rivers United manager Stanley Eguma singled out his team’s front line as an area to work on.

Eguma thought his attackers were not clinical enough and that may have contributed to their defeat.

“It is not a good evening for us, since we did much of the playing but the game went to the home team [Rangers].

“We need to work on our striking ability and be able to finish perfectly by getting the ball into the opponents’ net,’’ Eguma said.
