The Nigeria Nationwide League One Super Eight competition kicks off on Monday at the Agege stadium in Lagos.
The competition features teams that have gained promotion to the Nigeria National League.
AS Racine FC, My People FC, Bida Lions, and FC Abuja are part of the participating sides.
Others are FRSC FC, Yobe Desert Stars FC, Papilo FC, and Enyimba Feeders.
The organisers of the tournament also invited four top grassroots teams from Lagos. The teams are Destiny, Collins Edwin, Spartans, and Goodland Rangers.
The five-day competition, scheduled to hold from October 24 to 29, will be used to determine the overall champions for the 2015/2016 Nigeria Nationwide League season.
In a statement, secretary of the league, Olusola Ogunnowo said the participating teams are expected to arrive on Sunday with the press conference and draws billed for Monday morning.
