National Prayer Breakfast 2016 will be led by President Muhammadu Buhari and Bukola Saraki. The annual event organised by Christian Legislators Fellowship (CLF) will hold on Oct. 27 at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Senator Barnabas Gemade, President of the CLF made this known during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday. The 2016 National Prayer Breakfast is themed “Tree and its fruits: Is yours a blessing or a curse to Nigeria”.
Gemade said this year’s event is the 7th of its kind. He added that the “number seven in spiritual reckoning stands for perfection. Hence we intend to offer prayers to God to perfect all that concern us as a nation and usher us into a new beginning in this season.”
“A cherished opportunity that reminds us that no matter how much responsibility we have or how fancy our titles or how much power we think we hold, we are imperfect vessels. In a chaotic world with various challenges, crisis situations, hard struggles and sufferings, we need God.
“The National Prayer Breakfast builds bridges of unity and engenders harmony and progress,” Gemade added.
Other expected guests are Ministers of the Federal Republic; members of the National Assembly; Diplomatic Corps; political, religious and economic leaders in the country.
