David Mark Tasks IGP Over Alleged Killing Of NSCDC Personnel By Policemen

A former Senate President David Mark has started a six days tour of Benue South following his 20-year stay in the legislative house, Concise News reports.

This online news medium understands that Mark was elected Senator to represent Benue South District in five consecutive polls in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This tour is to thank the people for giving him the opportunity to serve them as a Senator.

According to a statement, the former Senate President will meet the traditional rulers, politicians across party lines and all stakeholders in the nine local government areas of the senatorial zone.

Also, Mark and his successor Abba Moro will flag off the tour from Agatu local government area and head to Apa Local government council on Tuesday.

This is in addition to the team visiting Ado and Okpokwu local governments on Wednesday and Oju and Obi local governments on Thursday.

And on Friday, he will move to Ogbadibo and Ohimini local government areas with the grand finale taking place in Otukpo local government on Saturday.

The climax of the tour will be a thanksgiving Church service on Sunday, May 12, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Otukpo with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State as the Special Guest of Honour.
