Violence broke out between white nationalists partaking of a far-right march and counter-protesters in the state of Virginia.

Things were exacerbated when a car driven by a yet-unnnamed driver rammed into the counter-protesters in Charlottesville, killing one and injuring many.

Many have come out to condemn, in strong terms, the violent act.

US President Donald Trump took to Twitter and said:  “We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for.

“There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!”

Reports say the driver of the vehicle is in police custody but no name has as yet being released.
